Elise Miller is a queer, disabled emerging artist living and practising on unceeded Ngunnawal land.
While her primary artistic practice is focused on watercolour, she commenced formal study in visual arts in 2022 to expand her practice to other mediums such as sculpture.
A major focus of her work is on showcasing the varied facets of lipoedema, a virtually unknown and oft misunderstood medical condition that affects an estimated 1 in 11 women, and one that she is diagonal and affected by. Elise has undergone surgical treatment for this condition, having 3 surgeries on her legs in 2021, with a 4th surgery scheduled for late August of 2022 to tackle her arms now that her legs have fully recovered.
